Louis Eager is a designer and maker based in Bristol, UK. He set up his own studio and workshop in 2024. The materials Louis uses predominantly consist of readymades: industrially produced everyday objects, standard sections, architectural hardware - components that are pre-existing and pre-designed. Louis re-appropriates and subverts these familiar common materials in the context of furniture and homeware products, transforming them into functional and aesthetic pieces.

Since completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Product and Furniture Design at Kingston School of Art in 2021, Louis has worked for several distinguished international designers, most notably Max Lamb. Louis spent nearly three years in his studio, where he honed his skills, deepened his understanding of various making processes and materials, and developed a strong dexterity with tools while learning to thrive under pressure.
